  1. My favorite books as a kid were the "Junie B. Jones" books. They followed the adventures of a young girl named Junie B. I like them because it was fun to follow her stories as she grew up in elementary school as I was going through elementary school. It'd be fun to write a children's book because you can slip back into the mind of a child for a while to write about things that will entertain them.

  2. My favorite series of children's books were "Magic Tree House". It's about two normal kids going on adventures and missions with a magic tree house to save Morgan.

  3. My favorite books were all the "McDuff" stories. I loved reading about the little white dog who was taken in by a loving family. The Christmas "McDuff" was my favorite. The dog in the story reminded me of my dog.
I think it would be fun and difficult to write a childrens book. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

  4. My favorite book when I was a kid was the Magic School Bus books because I liked how they used their imagination and creativity in all the books and eventually made it into a movie. I think it would be fun to write a kids book because I love kids book.

  5. My favorite childhood story was If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. It's a story about a mouse but it teaches how if you give someone something, they'll always want more. I want to rewrite a popular story, but from a different perspective. Possibly red riding hood, but from the wolf's pov. :)

  6. My favorite book as a kid was Junie B Jones. I loved that series, especially because I could sit down and read one of them in like one day. I still own all of them. I might want to write my childrens book about an animal come to life.

  7. I really liked Goosebumps. They were my first "chapter" books, and I read them aloud with my dad. I think I would want to write a children's story about a real event from history. It's never too early. Let's talk about tariffs, kids.

  8. When I was younger one of my favorite books was The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. I loved that it was a twist on the original story and it sparked my creativity. I think it would be fun to write a children's book but also challenging to put yourself in the headspace to do so.

  9. One of my favorite books as a kid would be the little critter books. They didnt really ever teach something but they were fun to read and look at. One of them (Me and My mom) was about the little critter and his mom going to the city to look around. They had also lost each other while there. Writing a children's book may be fun but only if it were about something you wanted to write about.

  10. I remember reading the book "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. It was one of my favorite books, despite it being really long for a kid. Something about all the animals trying to fit inside the mitten made me laugh. The small little mitten would help all these animals be warm, even if they could not fit.My favorite was when the bear would try to fit in the mitten!

  12. my favorite book when i was a kid was the giving tree it was about a tree who was given everything and all that is left. Is a stump and the only thing the boy wants is a quite place to sit. I liked it because even when all of the good things were gone you can still find a use for something. It might be small but it still has some worth something to someone

  13. Growing up I loved any of the books called The Three Dumb Bunnies. Literally the best books on the planet. They are just stupid and entertaining. I think I will base my book heavily on it. It would be super fun to be a childrens author. They are a whole different type of audience. It would really get me outside my comfort zone.

  14. My favorite book growing up was a series and it was the Geronimo Stilton series. I really liked this series because I thought it was funny and the plots of the stories were awesome not to mention the characters were mice. I feel like it would be difficult to write a kids book because you have to think about what will grab your audience and keep them in the book. Kids are difficult to get their attention so it may be a pain.

  15. My favorite book growing up as a kid was pajama time. I liked it because it talked about putting on pajamas and just having a good time getting ready for bed. So when my sisters and I read it before bed, we were excited to sleep. And tbh I'm still excited to sleep.
I think it would be difficult for me to write children books because I'm not creative enough for that, and I wouldn't relate to the children probably.

  16. MY favorite book as a kid was The Lady Who Swallowed the Fly. This was an important book to me because it was passed down, sibling to sibling and cousin to cousin.
I've written a kids book in another class and i thought it would be easy but its not very easy because you have to think about their vocabulary and things that would grab their attention.

  17. My favorite book series growing up was Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I remember always going to the book fairs in elementary school and just wanting those books. I liked the illustrations that went with it and the style of reading/writing. I didn't like reading much, but this series was very enjoyable for me. I think the difficult part of writing childrens stories is going back to that mindset and trying to find more relatable things for that time in your life. They don't have all of the things we do as teenagers, and I didn't really consider that enough to make it super relatable for them. I think the story was cool to read, but not necessarily relatable for them in their life right now.
